An Examination Couch is used to support patients during medical examinations. During these examinations, doctors use an adjusting mechanism to manipulate and position the table to give the patient support, so a closer examination can be taken of the patients body. The examination couch also allows for easy movement of the patient on and off the table safely. Examination tables often have rolls of paper on which the patient sits or lies, to protect the table. The paper is normally discarded after each patient uses the table.
