Electric Wheelchair also called electric-powered wheelchair, motorized wheelchair, or powerchair, is any seating surface with wheels affixed to it that is propelled by an electrically based power source, typically motors and batteries. The first motor-powered wheelchairs appeared in the early 1900s; however, demand for them did not exist until after World War II. These battery-powered wheelchairs have the performance and maneuverability to get disabled people wherever they want to go and come with a host of drive bases, seating systems, and expandable control systems.
